Was gonna do a “Proper DVD release” but figured it wouldnt exactly make me rich (If anyone remembers the old Solvent Abuse VHS series, you will know we always knocked em out cheap and it was never about money) but then I figured it would be a pain in the arse getting it stocked in shops and whatever so I figured, what the hell lets put it out there for free. Its 1.5gb MP4 so it will work on PS3’s and MP4 DVD players etc, if your watching it on your computer I recomend Quicktime or VLCplayer (be sure to click on view and watch it fullscreen).

It aint no hardcore train video, Its a bit of everything filmed between 1998 & 2008 featuring a few London Walls – Legals, Tracksides, Streets Loads of Italian runners (FS, Napoli Roma), some classic Hanover, Amsterdam, Copenhagen & Warsaw trains, walls, damage circa 1999, British Jams like Sleeping Giants, Roxe Jam2008, Cans2, JamEmIn, Meeting Of Styles 2008 and Write4Gold 2006. Barcelona Halls of fame, Newcastle old & new plus a few quick trips to Belgium, Spain & Johannesburg.

A fair few London Commuters (2002 – 2008) and a couple of Tube runners.
It also features Crews like ATG, DWS, TNS, NM, DPV & THIRDECADE.
With music by MetalBoxProducts, DJ Klose One, Matt Nice, Sober & Critic

The Budos Band are an "Instrumental Staten-Island Afro-Soul" outfit recording on the Daptone Records label. The band has eleven members (up to thirteen members at times) who play instrumental music that is self-described as "Afro-Soul," a term and sound which - in a recent interview - baritone saxophone player Jared Tankel elucidates as, being drawn from Ethiopian music the band had been listening to that had a soul undercurrent to it, which the band then "sprinkled a little bit of sweet 60's stuff on top" of.

Jazz, deep funk, Afro-beat, and soul influences can be heard in the Budos Band albums, both of which are Daptone Records releases recorded at the label's own studio, Daptone's House of Soul, in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

One of my fave head nod lps from the mid 90s. This is the follow up to the 1994 album Between a Rock and a Hard Place. That was a classic album and so this LP had a lot to live up to. But it succeeds by bringing that classic hip hop style while making the transition in to an era that was dominated by everything "gangsta". El Da Sensei and Tame One come from a true hip hop background as they are both graf artists originally and they manage to keep that element running throughout their music. I never really understood why this album got so overlooked when it was released, as it had all the things you need for a classic, including tight production from Shawn J and Lord Finesse, as well as El and Tame's lyrical skills. If you've heard the 1st album, this won't disappoint and if you've never heard the Artifacts before, this is an excellent place to start.

Scenes14 started in 1982/1983 and it wasn’t long before he was jumping fences at 3 in the morning with a sack of paint on his back. Combined with a love of B Boying and all the elements, Scenes soaked up as much of the fledgling UK Hip Hop sphere as possible. To this day he’s still rocking a dope custom graf Jacket & box fresh Puma kicks with the Suspekt crew baseball cap.

We spoke about the early jams and some of the pivotal events in the UK through the years that Scenes has attended. This is an instructional B-boying DVD. In particular about some footwork styles and concepts performed on the ground. That's why we also call it downrocking. Since it's an introduction to the dance and it contains only basics, it's called "Footwork fundamentals".

The producer Storm, started B-boying in the early 80's when TV broadcasted the facet's of Hip Hop for the first time in EU. Soon after, when the dance was plaid out and almost died out, groups and people like these continued: Aktuel Force/ France, Throwdown Breakers/ Sweden, Second to None, and Awayz rocin tuf/ England, Maurizio and Massimo/ Italy, Enemy Squad/ Hungary, Crazy Force Crew/ Switzerland, TDB, Steve and Sonny T/ Germany, and Battle Squad/ Germany and Italy with Storm and his Partners, Swift, Speedy and Emilio.

They developed new moves and concepts out of what they once adopted from the New Yorkers.
